Epic Games has announced the next couple of free games for those who use its digital storefront. Beginning August 2, those who visit the Epic Games Store can download Alan Wake and For Honor for free.
Alan Wake, which released on Xbox 360 in 2010 and PC in 2012, is one of Remedy Entertainment’s most beloved titles. Remedy is currently readying the launch of Control, which went gold just yesterday. Epic Games Store has exclusivity on the PC version. Ubisoft’s For Honor launched in 2017 with several problems, but the experience has steadily improved over the last two years, with dedicated servers and myriad content drops. Ubisoft also has an existing relationship with the Epic Games Store, as the PC version of The Division 2 launched exclusively on the Epic Games Store, and the publisher has stated that some future titles will follow suit.
Currently, Moonlighter and This War of Mine are free on the Epic Games Store. Those titles will be available until August 2 at 11 a.m. Eastern/8 a.m. Pacific, at which point, the free offerings will turn to Alan Wake and For Honor. To claim your free games, head to the Epic Games Store and click on the banner at the top of the homepage that advertises the free games of the week.
