All The PlayStation Plus April 2024 Games For Premium And Extra Subscribers

More titles have been revealed for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog this month, and most of them will be available starting April 16 for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. This month, there are a trio of big releases to look forward to, as subscribers can dive into a metroidvania based on African mythology in Tales of Kenzera: Zau, farm the ocean depths in Dave the Diver, and make good use of cunning tactics in Animal Well. Additionally, the free games in April for Essential subscribers are also available right now and the lineup includes Immortals of Aveum for PS5, Minecraft Legends for PS5 and PS4, and Skul: The Hero Slayer for PS4.

Here’s a closer look at everything available this month and in early May.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau (PS5)

A day-one release, Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a 2.5D metroidvania set in a rich universe where you’ll wield powers from the Sun and the Moon to defeat restless spirits. Not just an adventure game enhanced by vibrant visuals and a stirring score, the game also examines themes of life and death across its mystical African backdrop.

Dave the Diver (PS5, PS4)

A wonderfully weird game of ocean exploration, aquatic monsters, and delicious sushi, Dave the Diver lands on PS5 this month. Alongside various adaptive trigger effects that will change based on the weapon players are using in the PS5 release, players can also expect to cross paths with the king of the monsters, Godzilla, in a free future update.

Oddballers (PS4)

If you can dodge a wrench, you can probably dodge a ball in this upcoming multiplayer party game. Not only will you be able to use brutally unfair tactics to mess with your frenemies, but you can also use environmental hazards like electrical fences, explosive gas tanks, or tennis ball-launchers in this intense take on dodgeball.

Construction Simulator 2 (PS5, PS4)

Back and bigger than ever, Construction Simulator 2 will see you tackle intriguing projects of different sizes and requirements while dealing with the specific requests of your clients. The better you are at your job, the more cash you’ll rake in so that you can afford more powerful machinery in your quest to be the go-to construction expert.

The Crew 2 (PS4)

The first sequel to The Crew saw Ubisoft expand on its open-world racing vision, giving players an entire continent to explore from inside a variety of exotic vehicles. Full of American monuments, iconic cities, and hundreds of vehicles to collect, The Crew 2 makes for a fun cross-country road trip.

Raji: An Ancient Epic (PS5, PS4)

Inspired by Indian mythologies such as Mahabharata and Ramayana, you’ll battle ferocious demons and bosses, solve ancient puzzles, and explore massive forts in an adventure game that features a distinct hand-painted art direction.

Lego Ninjago: The Movie Video Game (PS4)

If you can’t get enough of Lego Ninjago on the small or big screen, then you can continue the adventures of your favorite ninjas in this action-packed game. Play as Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane, Nya, and Master Wu to defend their home island of Ninjago from the evil Lord Garmadon, foiling the tyrant’s plans with shinobi skills across several levels.

Nour: Play With Your Food (PS5, PS4)

An experimental food art game that you definitely don’t want to play on an empty stomach, Nour is full of of surreal scenes that range from peculiar to the downright bizarre. A foodie fantasy with delicious visuals, it encourages playful exploration with its weird ideas.

Deliver Us Mars (PS5, PS4)

A sequel to Deliver Us The Moon, Deliver Us Mars continues the sci-fi direction of its predecessor with a new high-stakes mission. You’ll need to use both brains and brawn to survive in harsh and unforgiving terrain to save the day and find answers to the mysteries you’ll uncover on the Martian surface.

Lego Marvel’s Avengers (PS4)

Lego Marvel’s Avengers doesn’t deviate from the established Lego formula, as this game throws you into levels where the main aim is to bash through enemies and collect enough parts to construct a weird doohickey to help you reach the next stage. It does have a massive roster of Marvel heroes to assemble and it’s a great game for keeping younger members of the family occupied.

Miasma Chronicles (PS5)

A combination of exploration, tactics, and RPG elements, Miasma Chronicles is set in a dark future where the US has been torn apart by a mysterious force. As Elvis, it’s up to you to journey across a post-apocalyptic wasteland and use a mysterious glove to control the mysterious Miasma in a quest to change the course of human history.

Stray Blade (PS5)

An action-adventure where you play as a rogue Adventurer exploring the ancient Valley of Acrea, Stray Blade is an old-fashioned fantasy game with a modern Souls-like feel to its design.

Animal Well (PS5)

A combat-free metroidvania, Animal Well will test your grey matter with over 250 rooms of danger and intrigue. You’re free to explore the secrets of this surreal labyrinth in any order you wish to, but you’ll want to be wary of the dangers lurking in the dark while you manipulate the world to your advantage. Another day-one release, Animal Well will be available on May 9.

MediEvil (PlayStation Premium Classics)

PlayStation Premium subscribers can check out three retro games this month in the Classics section of the Game Catalog.First up is the return of Sir Daniel Fortesque in MediEvil, a weird and fun action game that was remade many years later.

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (PlayStation Premium Classics)

Also known as Alone in the Dark 4, The New Nightmare was first released in 2001 and offered a more action-packed approach when compared to its predecessors.

Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire (PlayStation Premium Classics)

Released in 1995 during the golden age of LucasArts, Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire hasn’t aged that well, but for the time, it was a groundbreaking on-rails shooter.
