Baldur's Gate And Other D&D Classics Get Release Dates For Console Ports

We previously reported on Beamdog and Skybound Games’ partnership to bring enhanced versions of classic Dungeons & Dragons games to modern consoles. Today, we finally learned when these games are hitting store shelves.

First to be ported is the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Pack. The pack contains the enhanced editions of BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II, along with the games’ DLC and restored quest content. The pack also contains Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, original content Beamdog developed to bridge the story between the two games.

Launching on the same day is a pack containing enhanced editions of Planetscape: Torment and Icewind Dale. Both games are developed by Black Isle Studios, which also developed Fallout 2 before going out of business. The pack will also include Icewind Dale’s expansions.

Finally, BioWare’s Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is coming to consoles, featuring 10 standalone D&D campaigns and all of the game’s original DLC. It will feature co-op and online multiplayer.

The Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Pack and Planetscape: Torment / Icewind Dale pack will both launch on September 24. Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition will launch on December 3. All three packs will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, both physically and digitally.
