Barbie Coming To Max This Fall

Sometime this fall, prepare to throw on pink sweats and watch Barbie from the comfort of your couch. That’s when the Margot Robbie-starring movie will head to the streaming service Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav revealed Barbie’s launch window on Max during a second-quarter earnings call, according to Deadline. But in the meantime, the record-setting movie for the studio will get a long theatrical run, especially after just earning $93 million domestically in its second weekend.

“We really believe in the motion picture window. Let this movie go to the motion picture window, play it up, build up that brand, then have it go into [premium video on demand],” Zaslav said on the call, per Collider. “… And then put it on Max. And when it goes on Max, we think it’ll have a very good impact and that’ll be in the fall.”
