Barbie star Margot Robbie doesn’t sound like someone who’s itching to jump back into a pink convertible on the silver screen again for a sequel. In fact, the actress “can’t imagine” what a follow-up would even be like for the biggest movie of the year.
Speaking with the AP, Robbie explained how “we put everything into this one” and it wasn’t meant “to be a trilogy.” She added: “It was like, great to put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”
Barbie made over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, ultimately besting Harry Potter to become Warner Bros. biggest movie ever. Filmmaker Greta Gerwig is also the highest-grossing female director of all time in the US after the movie’s success.
