Almost a year after The Way of Water premiered, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings audiences back to the strange alien world created by James Cameron–but this time in a video game. Ubisoft and developer Massive are behind the open-world title, meaning the similarities to Far Cry are there and mentioned by reviewers.

On GameSpot sister site Metacritic, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has a metascore of 74, fitting in the mixed or average range. That’s taking into account 52 reviews at the time of publication.

Now, one large difference between Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Far Cry is the fact that this game puts players into the role of a 10-foot blue Na’vi. GameSpot’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora review notes how this serves as a strength for the title: “The world is not only stunning, but a blast to run around in, and your parkour-like abilities let you turn forests, mountains, and enemy bases into playgrounds to leap around.”
