It’s taken four months, but developer Toys For Bob is finally adding subtitles to Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which were contentiously excluded at launch.
Subtitles are a crucial feature that make games more accessible to players with disabilities, so Toys For Bob got some heat (pun intended) from players for its exclusion, stating to British gaming outlet GamePitt that during the process of creating the trilogy, “certain decisions had to be made.”
Thankfully, a subtitle toggle is included in the latest patch, alongside an option to turn the game’s motion blur effect on or off and a number of fixes for progression-halting bugs, which you can read about in the patch notes. Check out our review of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and watch our interview with Toys For Bob below on how the team reimagined the iconic, sassy purple dragon.
